Tour #8: Up and Down the Lech River Valley
2 days, 3 nights, full board
A nostalgic journey by an original mail-coach and a four-in-hand team of horses from the town of Reutte in Tirol (Austria) to the town of Steeg (or vice-versa) in the district of Außerfern in Tyrol/Austria, through one of the most beautiful natural reserves of the Alps, untouched by mass tourism. This tour can be easily combined with a visit of the Royal Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, as Reutte is only 25 km from these.
Itinerary:
This program is operated "on request" for a minimum of eight participants. It can be easily combined with a Four Day King Ludwig tour resulting in 7 day, 6 night journey. If you have a small group, we have a postal coach available! Transfer rate from Munich approximately the same as to Hohenschwangau. See "General Information" for rates!
Day 1: Arrival at Pinswang, the country hotel "Schluxen" close to the Tyrolian/Bavarian border, welcome cocktails and dinner with local specialties followed by folk music.

Depending on the weather: we either picnic on the gravel banks of the river or lunch in a small country inn. Evening arrival in Steeg at the end of the Lech River Valley at the hotel "Post". Tonight dinner followed by Tyrolian music in this cosy inn.
Day 3: A buffet breakfast followed by an 08.30 am departure of the mail-coach. Along the Lech River, with a picnic or lunch with an early evening return to the Hotel "Schluxen". Dinner at the hotel.
